Suitcase

We arrived, but the Earth was already here. We think we created it.

We see this Universe through a unique lens. One we can call our “own,” but who gave us the light to see?

We developed language and live within our own definitions, but throw stones at anyone who doesn’t use the right words to relate to their experience. We think, “Your experience should be just like mine, because I’m more important than you, so you should use the same words as I do.”

We made up borders, and claim possessions, but the Earth takes it all back.

Nothing is ours. Nothing is owned. We can’t take the Earth with us where we are going. She keeps it all, even the suit we occupy.

Maybe this is the age we start to appreciate the gifts the Earth allows us borrow, instead of trying to take it all with us. Maybe we finally learn to travel at the speed of light.

Our spaceship seats one. It is powered by the vibration of love, and there is no baggage claim.
